In HOW IT WORKS On pulling and pushing the piston of the syringe the bridge moves up and down. This happens because of the water pressure. First on pushing the piston, the water in the free syringe experience pressure. As a result the water from it gets force to move to the syringe of the pillars. Thus in turn the water exerts pressure on the piston of the syringe of pillars and it moves out. Thus as the piston of pillars moves up the bridge along with it moves up. The reverse happens on pulling the piston of free syringe and the bridge gets down. Hence with any heavy mechanism and engine we can make a hydraulic bridge.
