Some things are destined in life and they happen when you least expect them to happen. Sumit Jain from Amity Noida, a third year mass communication student is a correct example for the above mentioned statement. He observed his classmates struggling with less than 75% attendance and made a rap song which went viral. That was the time he saw potential in himself and went on with creating videos and songs with catchy lyrics for youngsters, that struck right chords with them. ‘Amity Anthem’ was just uploaded for fun and that album changed his life forever.
In conversation with Sumit Jain :
1) After ‘Amity Anthem’, you released another hit and catchy anthem ‘School Project’. What was your first reaction at that moment ?
My creativity and catchy lyrics have always been my strength. I started off by writing on topics like school life, got it recorded, finished my shoot and uploaded it on my Facebook profile which is known as ‘Sj Diaries’. When I saw that my video got more than four million views, I could not believe my eyes and it was an amazing feeling.
2) What prompted you to make this video?
Actually, I love to maintain a personal dairy in which I just pen down all my thoughts, ideas and things which I experience in my daily life. So, that habit of mine of maintaining personal diaries was the whole inspiration behind this video.
3) What would you like to do in future? Will you continue making songs or you have other plans?
I love what I am doing currently. As I mentioned that I love writing, I will continue writing my own tracks and make videos. This is really an exciting and thought provoking experience for me which i am really enjoying right now.

4) What next can we expect from you after ‘The School Project’?
As I am a Delhi guy, my next project would be about Delhi life and I am very excited about it. It will also be something that will be very catchy and also something every student can relate to.
5) What were your thoughts when you started shooting for ‘School Project’? Was there any apprehension?
As ‘School Project’ was my second video, I took it seriously. My first project was a huge success so people expected a lot and that was a kind of little pressure. Having said that, I would like to highlight the fact that I was not apprehensive, I just had faith in myself and did my work.
6) Any special thing you want to mention regarding these successful projects?
It is my dream to be first rap viner in India and take it to the next level. In future I want to be known as a renowned rapper in music industry.
