B.com(Hons) graduate from Sri Venkateshwara college, Delhi University. This Girl is from Noida and has lived there all her life. Currently living in Mumbai post her singing reality show-The Stage 2, which aired on Colors Infinity. Let us gear up for what she is going to reveal about her massive win on a reality show!
Q) How did “The stage” happen?
A) I had uploaded a song on Facebook for fun and to my surprise, it got VIRAL!
It reached Ehsaan Noorani and he messaged me ‘I hope you are auditioning for The Stage’
I couldn’t believe that Ehsaan himself had liked my music and asked me to audition. This meant the world to me and I couldn’t had been happier and more grateful. For the first time in my life I felt like I had achieved something and the feeling was too overwhelming.
Q) Considering that it is such a huge platform, were you nervous?
A) Of course I was nervous. But my nervousness came from a space where I did not want to disappoint the audience. This was the first time I would ever sing on National television and probably my only time to sing in front of millions of people. I had never really focused on winning the competition. I would always focus on working on my song which I would perform for India.
Q) Did you imagine that you could be a winner of the show? Describe the feeling when you were announced as a winner.
A) As I already mentioned, I never thought about winning. Success is the perk of hard work and skill. This is something that I have always believed in. I always focussed on perfecting my song rather than the fruit it would get me. When I was announced as the winner, the first thing I did was to look at my family. They were all crying and I felt extremely happy and grateful to have realized that I have people in my life who wanted this more than me, who always wanted to see me rise high, who found their success in my success. I felt like I was the luckiest person in the entire world to have family whom I meant the world to.
Q) Awesome Judges! Tell us which one was your favourite and why?
A) All of them. I can never choose because I love them all! Ehsaan is the smiling sun, he makes you feel that everything is just going to be fine. I had been following Vishal Dadlani since childhood and to see him live and to sing with him made me feel like I was living in a movie!
Q) Are you trained in singing? Why did you choose English genre specifically?
A) I am a Grade 5- Distinction Voice student from Trinity School of London. I have been taught by graduates from Berkelee School of Music and Manhattan School of Music. I never really chose English genre specially. I always believed in music and not language acting a barrier. I always sang Hindi and English, both. But seems like the English genre chose me. I would always go for such English singing competitions back in school and after winning them,I got more and more inclined to pursue it.

A) I am working on my Single with Universal Music, India. This is part of the contract I have owing to my win at The Stage2. I am also gigging a lot and working on a few Bollywood tracks.
Q) What do you think about the scope of English lyrical songs in India?
A) I feel its growth. India has shown a massive scope of English music specially after shows like The Stage being promoting young artists in our country.
