Naisha Khanna, an eight-year-old girl from Thakur International School, Mumbai has worked in serials like Best Of Luck Nikki, Uttaran, Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke to name a few. Naisha Khanna has recently made her Bollywood debut with Karan Johar’s flick Brothers and had done the song “Mehram” of Kahaani2 opposite Vidya Balan.
1. When did you start acting initially?
I started acting at the age of four years and now I am a big girl of eight years. Therefore, it was four years back at the earliest when I started acting and did a few campaigns for LIC and Bank Of India. I Started with a single episode role in a TV serial on Zee Tv and the last big thing which I did was “Brothers“.
2. How did you find Bollywood as a child actor?
Bollywood for me till now as a child actor has been nice. Sometimes it is tiring but overall it has been a great experience as it really helped me in developing my confidence. After all the major projects I have done, the way I live my life has completely changed. But, still, I get a chance to be the third standard girl I am and get to enjoy mine childhood.
3. Do you have someone else in your family as well who is inclined towards acting?
Well no one apart from me is in acting from my family. It is only me who has shown a keen interest in this field. It is the interest only which can lead a person to higher states. Without own interest the work seems to be vain and futile. Even though so far nobody else has started working in Bollywood, my entire family, friends, and school have been very supportive in this fruitful journey of mine.
4. What are your future plans after making a wonderful mark and opening in Bollywood through Karan Johar banner?
Future plans are to study hard, work hard in acting so that I get good roles. It is still a very young age for me to think for the vast life which lays ahead of me. At this moment, I simply want to enjoy the roles I get, get to learn from them and gain experience in the shadow of huge Bollywood stars that I will be working with in future.
5. Which is the best moment you have had so far in Bollywood?
I think the best moment is still in waiting as I am a big fan of Tiger Shroff and I am eagerly waiting to work along with him. But, if I still have to choose from the enormous works I have done till now, it was working for Kahaani 2 with Sujay Sir & Vidya Balan mam accompanied with the entire crew on the sets.
6. Who is the best actor according to you? Why do you think so?
Tiger Shroff is the best actor for me even though I have never worked with him. The reason is his fitness, dance moves and polite nature that he portrays on the screen. The amount of dedication that he manifests towards his work is utterly breathtaking.
7. What are you currently working on or what are your future plans?
Well, I have just completed shooting for “Firangi” movie with Kapil Sharma. I am still working on a new project, of which I can’t disclose the details as of now. But, I promise the people who have appreciated my presence on the screen that I will not disappoint any of them.
