Brief Introduction of Jamia Millia Islamia University
Jamia Millia Islamia is a public central university located in Delhi. It was established during British rule in 1920. It became a Central University by an act of the Indian Parliament in 1988.
Faculty of Engineering And Technology in Jamia Millia Islamia
Established in 1985 with the departments of Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering departments. It has added the departments of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Department of Applied Science and Humanities (1996) and has six engineering departments— Applied Sciences & Humanities, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communications, Mechanical Engineering, computer Engineering—and a University Polytechnic.

JMI Admission Eligibility Criteria 2017
JMI Admissions Eligibility Criteria 2017 – The Eligibility Criteria of JMI Admissions 2017 is a set of eligibility conditions that are required to be met by the aspiring candidates in order to be considered eligible for B.Tech/B.Arch admissions. Candidates must appear in JEE Main 2017, as admissions to B.Tech/B.Arch programmes at JMI University will be offered on the basis of JEE Main 2017 scores.
For B.Tech
For B.Tech admissions, the applicants must have cleared 10+2/ Intermediate or its equivalent exam with at least 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects from a recognized board.
Only candidates who have passed class XII in 2015, 2016 or are appearing in 2017 are eligible to apply.
Candidates with diploma in Engineering recognized by AICTE or a state board of technical education of 3 or 4-year duration with at least 55% marks can also apply.
For B.Arch Course
For B.Arch admissions, the applicants must have cleared 10+2/Intermediate or its equivalent exam with at least 50% marks in Mathematics, English, Physics, and Chemistry from a recognized board.
Aspirants must have passed class XII in 2015, 2016 or be appearing in 2017 will be eligible to first year of the B. Arch. Course, subject to an aptitude test.
Candidates with a 3-year Diploma (10+3) recognized by Central/State govt. provided that they have passed the Diploma with 50% aggregate marks.
