Some of his videos have also been featured in News 18, Dainik Bhaskar and several other websites of national repute. Oh wait! There is more to it, Jay is also an Android developer. He has published simple yet treasured android apps on the google playstore. We got an opportunity to know Jay Kapoor closely and here it goes.
Q1. Describe “Jay Kapoor”
I’m just a simple boy next door, who just broke into his adulthood. I’m a passionate YouTuber and a tech enthusiast. I was born and brought up in New Delhi, India.
Q2. How and when your journey on YouTube began?
I created my YouTube channel “Jay Kapoor” in April 2011, didn’t post any video until 2014. There was a very common issue in Android devices – “App could not be installed free up some space and try again later.” My first video was about this problem. I found out a solution to this problem and posted it on YouTube.
Q3. You have a very unique YouTube channel, tell us what your channel is all about.
It is a tech channel. I make How to videos and so on. Though my personal favourite are tips and tricks videos. I always try to do something out of the box and interesting. Something that very few people know but has huge utility.
So my channel is focused on How to get the most out of your gadgets.
Q4. What were the challenges that you faced as a YouTuber?
I faced challenges that any other normal YouTuber would face while starting a channel. Lack of Financial support from family. Expensive camera equipments and thinking of new and innovative ideas to attract more viewers.
Q5. Who has been your inspiration? What do you aspire to become at a later stage?
Knowledge and inspiration is everywhere. I don’t set one person as an inspiration. I believe that you can get inspired and learn from anyone. Learning is a never ending process, it begins when a person is born and ends only after his death.
I don’t aspire to become anyone else I just want to become a better version of me in the future.

Q6. We have seen few apps on Google Playstore published by Jay Kapoor, are you into android apps? Please tell us about your apps.
Yes, in mid 2015, I started exploring the app market and thought to create some apps of my own.
Flash sale helper was my first app. This app helps people to buy smartphones which sell through flash sale. A famous organisation tried to acquire Flash Sale Helper. I denied their offer and within 3 weeks of denying we made 10x of the acquisition amount through this simple but useful app.
I have also created an app called VoLTE checker. It helps people to check if their smartphone is VoLTE enabled or not.
I have also developed Edit webpage. It helps you to edit contents of webpages on the go through your own smartphone. Earlier it was not possible to edit contents of the web pages using smartphone, one had to reach out to his laptop in order to do so.
Q7. Any message for our readers?
Samajdaaro ki basti mai puchte chale jaoge aakhir karke kab dikhaoge?
This basically means that instead of actually doing it we often waste time reading interviews, attending conferences but at the end of the day you have to do the hard work.
