The International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad is one of the most reputed colleges for computer science programmes, effectively competing with the top IITs. It has state of the art facilities and has a reputation for being highly research focused. Courses Offered in IIIT Hyderabad:

IIIT Hyderabad offers B.Tech programmes in both Computer Science and Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering. Both are 4 year programmes.

It also provides dual degrees in:

1.Tech culminating in MS by Research in CSE, ECE and Civil Engineering.

2. Tech in CS culminating in MS by Research in:

1. Computational Natural Sciences
2. Computational Linguistics
3. Exact Humanities

It also has Lateral entry programmes for those who have completed two years of their B.Tech in other colleges. These courses are 4 years long and culminate in an MS.

Modes of Admission in IIIT Hyderabad:

Admission into IIIT Hyderabad is highly competitive, as expected by its reputation. There are 5 modes of admission into it:

• JEE Main– You can get admission through your JEE Main rank if you meet the eligibility cut Offs by applying separately to IIIT-H.

• UGEE(Undergraduate Engineering Entrance Exam)- This consists of an exam and interview conducted by IIIT-H. Through this, you can secure admission to the CL or CNS programmes.

• Olympiads– Students who have been selected for training to represent India in the various Olympiads( Maths, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, IOL, POL, Astronomy) can apply through this.

  There will be just an interview and students can secure admission into the dual degree programmes.

• DASA– Direct Admission for Students Abroad. This is for those who either hold a foreign passport or have studied their 11^th and 12^th abroad. The SAT scores will be considered for their admission and they will have a completely different admission process.

• Lateral Entry– As explained earlier, an entrance examination is conducted, followed by an interview.
