Gift A Smile, It Makes You Feel Rich!
In a conversation with Gift A Smile founder-
1.Tell us about the history of your organization?
This organization has been running for almost a month now, and within a week we have managed to expand from four smile scouts to seven smile scouts, deliver over 200 toys in the first two weeks, and expand to other parts of India, such as Bangalore.
2.Who or what was the motivation behind ‘Gift A Smile’?
Our motivation behind Gift a Smile was to solve the vast imbalance of equality we see today in India, and we decided to aid this issue by tending to not the primary needs, but secondary needs and giving access to toys, which is extremely limited on the streets and in poor slums.
3.What are the main goals and objectives of ‘Gift A Smile’ ?
Our main goal is to ultimately bring smiles to underprivileged children’s faces and be able to offer them some of the joy that the more fortunate people are able to experience. In order to accomplish our goals, our objective is to spread the word about this campaign all over India and expand to even more places, and have more people contribute to our cause in order to have an even larger impact and donate more toys to children.
4. How are you planning to make Gift A Smile different from other NGOs out there?
Gift a Smile is unique in its approach when compared to other NGOs, because it utilizes an integrated website, in order to make the link between the donor and the children on the streets achievable. Anyone can donate toys from the luxury of their home simply by filling in a short application on the website, and from there, our smile scouts will pack and deliver these toys.

5. Why do you think your organisation is a necessity to this society?
As mentioned earlier, this organization is a necessity to this society, as there is a clear imbalance between the rich and the poor, and this inequality must be aided, otherwise it will only grow more. There are over 10 million street children living in India, so it is extremely relevant to this area. The idea is also to inspire society and remind them of this imbalance, so that a change can be brought out.
6. What kind of motivational advice would you like to give the common people for coming forward in helping these NGOs?
I would like to advise others to join this campaign, as all you have to do is simply go to the website and donate old toys, which would be gathering dust otherwise. Small tokens such as these can go a long way in ensuring the joy of those who are suffering on the streets.
Spread awareness about this organization by circulating this message to as many people possible!
