The present smartphone market is flooded with phones across brands, price ranges and specifications. A sleek combo of all of them of date are Lenovo A6000 and Moto E 4G. Priced at a moderate range of around INR 7500. These two phones not only are easy on your pocket but have praiseworthy specifications. Since the two phones are competitors in the market comparisons are bound to happen, hence this article. Hope you will be able to make a better decision after reading this. Here are some talking points of the phones which are being marketed as their USPs.
Camera
On a picture quality scale, Lenovo wins hands down with a more realistic and wholesome picture quality as compared to the Moto E 4G.
Software
The Lenovo A6000 plus run on Android Kitkat wrapped under its UI. The Moto E 4G however edges ahead by offering one of the purest Android experience with its almost stock Android Lollipop 5.0.
Hardware
There is not much difference in the mAh metric of the two phones. The Moto E 4G however has an edge over the Lenovo phone. Considering the fact that we are dealing with 4G technology which is bound to eat away battery backup in quick time, going for a sustainable power backed phone would be the way to go. Ergo, Moto wins this round
Display
Moto E 4G has a 4.5-inch display with 540x960p resolution, meaning approx 245 pixels per inch; this is slightly lower than the 294ppi pixel density of Lenovo A6000 Plus, which has a 5-inch screen with HD (720p) resolution. However, you won’t notice too much of a difference in sharpness in text as well as images between the two phones.
Both smartphones boast of vibrant colours, but while the Motorola smartphone has relatively warmer tones, the Lenovo handset’s temperature is slightly colder. You cannot adjust display temperature in either model.
Both smartphones’ screens appear equally good under direct sunlight, but the warmer colours of Moto E 4G makes it a better option if you are a road warrior. On the other hand, Lenovo A6000 Plus gains a definite edge over Moto E 4G due its superior viewing angles, as the display does not lose colours where viewed at an angle; we cannot say the same about the Motorola model.
Size
Who says size doesn’t matter? Smartphones are supposed to be sleek and manageable in terms of size. It is here that the rectangular and much wider model of Lenovo loses to the relatively smaller and more compact Moto E. If you do happen to have apprehensions about enjoying movies and videos on your big screen phone, do keep in mind that Moto E has a 4.5” screen which isn’t as small as you think it is. This round, Moto E!
Performance
Both phones work on different Operating Systems with Lenovo edging out Moto by a very small margin in terms of speed. However the Lenovo model has known to freeze occasionally, a downside in comparison to the free flowing Moto.
Storage
Lenovo packs a 16GB internal storage, a double whammy compared to the 8GB internal storage of Moto E. In this day and age of heavy apps, games and large amounts of photos and videos stored in phones, bigger storage is the way to go. Lenovo wins this one hands down. All in all, it is the writer’s opinion that Moto E is the way to for the same price range and budget due to its trouble-free operation and performance but in the end what matters is what the customer wants.
