Nintendo is a Japanese multinational video game company which is now one of the largest in its field. Nintendo Switch is an upcoming video game console developed by Nintendo. Switch is a hybrid console, its main unit is shaped like a tablet computer which can be used portably or it can be connected to a television display through a detachable docking station. In addition it can also be used in a tabletop form with its kickstand which adds more style and uniqueness to the product. Initially known as NX, Nintendo Switch is expected to release on the 3rd of March 2017. The Switch is priced at 300 dollars (app Rs.20000) in the market. The latest Nintendo Switch can be played in three modes. The “TV mode” with the Console docked within the Dock to support play on a large television, “Tabletop Mode” with the Console placed on a table or other surface using its kickstand and lastly “Handheld Mode” as a standard portable tablet device.

The battery-powered Switch has a LCD display of 6.2 inches. It also supports ten-point multi-touch capacitive sensing and has an amazing resolution of 720p on the console. The system contains a 3.5mm audio jack, stereo speakers on the bottom of the unit, a USB-C port for charging the dock. The Nintendo Switch comes with controllers collectively called Joy-Con, specifically the Joy-Con L for left controller and Joy-Con R for the right controller. The controllers can be used totally in four ways.
Coming to its technical aspects, The Switch uses a custom system-on-chip from the Nvidia Tegra which is relatable to GeForce. The Switch offers 802.11ac wireless connectivity where in up to 8 players can connect and play the multiplayer game. The Switch Console has a non-replaceable 4310mAh Lithium-ion rechargeable battery. The battery life is estimated to be between 5 to 6 hours. Nintendo Switch has an internal flash storage of 32GB which can be expanded up to 2TB using microSD card.
Nintendo Switch will provide online functionality, the downloads and purchases happens on Nintendo eShops. The user interface of Nintendo Switch is kept in secret and will be revealed at the time release. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Splatoon 2, NBA 2K18 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim can be played on Switch (Extra charges may be added).
