He is the son of Shyam Kaushal, the stunt coordinator and Bollywood movies action director who worked in films like 3 Idiots, Slumdog Millionaire, and Bajarangi Bhaijaan. Vicky has graduated in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. He was involved in the theater to learn acting and become an Indian movie actor. He also joined the Kishore Namit Kapoor acting workshop. In his acting career, he has played many minor roles in famous Bollywood movies like Bombay Velvet and Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana.
He worked on the two portions of the film Gangs of Wasseypur with Anurag Kashyap in 2010. Neeraj Ghaywan also served as one of the film’s assistant directors. Masaan Kaushal was also invited to audition when Neeraj began working on his project. Because Kaushal comes from a typical Punjabi family, Neeraj had reservations about playing a small-town Banaras kid. However, after viewing the audition, he became more confident.
